Its been a Fantastic Fall for 3rd Graders at the Roberts!

Owls in Moonlight, Pattern Leaves, and The Color Wheel…oh my! Its been a very busy fall for 3rd graders at the Roberts as we learned about night time colors and watercolor resists, and then lines to make shapes, patterns and designs and finally we finished off with the most difficult of all, creating our own color wheels using just the primary colors alone! All our hard work has really paid off…see for yourself!

4th Grade Projects are in at the Roberts!

As we move into winter at the Roberts, the 4th grade projects are complete and ready to be shown off! We have learned a great deal about line and how to use it to make shapes and patters or how to make a round shape look 3D. And we also learned to use “night time colors” and also complimentary colors. We have had a blast and it shows in our art…take a look!

5th graders at the Roberts have had a terrific fall!

The 5th graders at the Roberts have worked incredibly hard this fall to create three projects: Layered Leaves, Owls, and Monochromatic Cities. Our focus has been on drawing, lines, shapes, patterns, mixing colors to create new colors, and learning to use variations of the same color. We have used a variety of materials ranging from markers and oil pastels, to watercolor paints, crayons, and black pens. Check it out!
